Saudi Arabia to Pay $2 Billion for the LCS Frigate 23 December, 2019

Saudi Navy will get four Multi-mission surface combatants frigate from Lockheed Martin, a derivation of the Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) design. The U.S. Navy announced the $1.96 billion contract on Friday. The ships will be built at Fincantieri’s Marinette Marine shipyard in Wisconsin.

The contract was awarded as part of the U.S. Navy’s Foreign Military Sales program.
