Eskişehir-based TUSAŞ Engine A.Ş. (TEI) has submitted a proposal to the Turkish Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) today for the National Combat Aircraft (MMU/TFX) Program. The deadline to submit offers for the MMU/TFX engine bid, designed and developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), ends today. According to the information obtained so far, except for TEI, the UK company Rolls-Royce and the TAEC Aircraft Motor Sanayi A.Ş. joint venture, which Turkish KALE group established, submitted their offers. It has been learned that the General Electric Company of USA has not responded so far. C4Defence announced at the beginning of the week that the Eurojet Consortium decided not to submit an offer for the EJ200 engine.
