Thales Continues Modernization for Indonesian Navy 5 September, 2020

Thales will modernize the Uaman-Harun frigate of the Indonesian Navy. The frigate will be equipped with new radar and missiles under the main contractor’s PT Len and Thales. The platform will be integrated into the platform, which will have tactic combat management system, SMART-S Mk2 3D and STIR 1.2 EO Mk2 radars.

Kri Usman-Harun, who has been in Indonesia inventory for nearly 15 years, is scheduled to extend his service life with the process, which is scheduled to be completed in 2023.

Working closely with Indonesia, Thales integrated four Sigma-class corvette naval combat electronics into the country and served as a supplier of naval mission systems for the Raden Eddy Martadinata Frigate program.
