The First Drill of Iranian 'Sayyad-3' 5 January, 2017

Iran has launched its indigenious Sayyad-3 (Hunter III) high-altitude air-defense missile for the first time on 28 December as a part of military exercise called Defenders of Velayat Skies 7. The Sayyad-3 high altitude interceptor is operated as part of the Talash air defense missile system which also employs the Sayyad-2 variant. Talash system can engage 12 targets simultaneously and features Ofoq fire control radar. During the drill, two Sayyad-2 medium-altitude missiles were also launched.
