The USAF In Seek For New JSTARS 29 December, 2016

The US Air Force issued a request for proposals (RFP) on 28 December to replace its Northrop Grumman E-8 Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS). The RFP has a value of $6,9 billion for development and production. The USAF emhasizes that it would not accept used, reconditioned or remanufactured aircraft and the initial service entry was planned in fiscal 2024, at the latest.
