USAF: F-16 laser guided rockets to be used in Iraq 27 July, 2016

The US Air Force has acquired laser guided rockets Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) from BAE Systems in operational emergency procedure now used in Iraq. These rockets were commissioned for both the F-16 and A-10. This is the first time the USAF uses these combat precision weapons at low cost from a fixed wing. Turkish Defence Company ROKETSAN produces similar systems Cirit. They are currently in use only in helicopters. The France for its part has ordered TDA similar rockets with slightly smaller diameter, 68 mm metric precision (RPM).
