Leonardo unveiled its new product at the Paris Air Show 2019. A new member of the Falco family is named Xplorer

As a new member of the Falco family, the system is larger than its predecessors. The system has a wing span of 18.5 meters and a length of 9 meters. The maximum take-off weight of Falco Xplorer was announced to be 1,300 kilograms. Equipped with the Gabbiano T-80UL multimode synthetic aperture radar (SAR), the platform also features LEOSS gyrostabilized electrooptics and SAGE SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) equipment. Powered by the Rotax engine, the platform has a payload of 350 kilograms and its endurance is up to 24 hours. With a service altitude of up to 30,000 feet, the Xplorer is able to operate in beyond the line of sight thanks to the satellite communication system (SATCOM). The platform, which has a more advanced ground control station than its predecessors, advanced systems from the experience gained from the firm P1.HH Hammerhead UAV. Although the company's statement states that the vehicle is capable of using weapons and the integration of the platform is easily possible, the development roadmap does not include a study for armament.
