Yak-130 Fleet Growing May 15, 2019

The Belarusian Air and Air Defence Force continues to expand its fleet with new aircraft and modernization activities. In this context, the Minsk administration announced that it received four Yak-130 deliveries from Russia.

According to the agreement signed between Belarus and JSC Irkut, operating in Russia, four Yak-130s were delivered. The aircraft were deployed in the Military Unit No 19764 (206th Flight Training Center). With this delivery, the Yak-130 number in the Belarusian inventory increased to 12. Belarus, previously two parties in 2015 and 2016 four more Yak-130 received delivery. The Minsk administration said the planes could use Russian air-to-air missiles.
