TAF Ruled Out “Hybrid War”!..

TAF demonstrated that a regular army shall always prevail over hybrid war components, if technological superiority is combined with the high capabilities of personnel deployed in the field.

Experts acknowledge that the conflict in Ukraine stands out as a spectacular example for “hybrid war.” Nevertheless, we had clearly witnessed a much earlier example back in the Lebanon War of 2006.
Resisting the Israel’s military intervention in south Lebanon, Hezbollah featured the first and the most seasoned examples of “hybrid war”, which constituted the number one item in the agenda of 21st century military strategies.

Led by the religious leader Hasan Nasrallah, the organisation made the most of its conventional armaments; however, it served as a significant example with its guerilla tactics, independent terrorist cells operating in line with the political structure via an untraceable network, propaganda war escalating through the use of global media and the capability of uniting various “cells” under a common umbrella.
The trials and tribulations of the Israeli Army –supposed to be the most powerful army in the Middle East– particularly in a geography that it knows by heart, lead to stormy debates on new-generation strategies of war.

Hezbollah emerged during the Lebanese Civil War of 1982-1985 as the successor to the Amal militia organisation supported by Iran. From the onset of its establishment, it was backed firstly by Syria and then by Iran. It still survives as the “state within the state” owing to the weak state structure of Lebanon today.
