The “Balkanisation” Effect in the East Mediterranean... 3 June, 2019

Rear Admiral (Upper Half) Cihat Yaycı took part in the “Symposium on Law and Politics in the East Mediterranean” organised in the Şeref Hall, which has hosted many famous visitors, in the Ankara University Political Science Faculty. Leaving behind his military persona, he as an expert summarised the subject very well: They are trying to give Turkey, which has the longest coastline in the Mediterranean, the smallest economic zone, they cannot possibly explain this...

Yaycı wants Turkey to sign an agreement on the delimitation of the exclusive economic zones (EEZ) as soon as possible with Tripoli government in Libya which is recognised as a legal state by the United Nations, and also defends that an explanation on EEZ should be given.
